ISP Sustainability Report Supports Singapore’s Net Zero
Following our recent Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC) 2-Ticks certification, ISP continues to advance our sustainability journey with the release of our sustainability report, alongside recognition under the Economic and Social Business Network (ESBN) Asia-Pacific Green Deal Green Badge.
The report documents ISP’s carbon footprint and environmental performance across the period from 1 January to 31 December 2025, covering key indicators such as energy consumption, water use, and greenhouse gas emissions. It reflects a more structured approach to measuring and communicating our environmental impact.
This provides not only internal visibility for continuous improvement, but also relevant data and documentation that can support our clients’ own sustainability and reporting requirements.
From Certification to Measured Performance
While certification reflects the environmental performance of specific systems, sustainability reporting provides a broader view of how a company operates over time.
ISP’s sustainability report is prepared in accordance with internationally recognized frameworks, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the GHG Protocol.
The report establishes a baseline for key environmental indicators, including greenhouse gas emissions from company facilities (Scope 1), purchased electricity (Scope 2), and other indirect sources such as supply chain activities and business travel (Scope 3).
As our first year of formal emissions reporting, these figures provide a structured starting point for ongoing monitoring, future target setting, and continuous improvement. Just as importantly, they provide clients with greater visibility into ISP’s carbon footprint, supporting more informed sustainability planning, supply chain disclosure, and reporting alignment.
Contributing to Singapore’s Net Zero Direction
Singapore’s Green Plan 2030 places increasing emphasis on reducing emissions across the built environment, including both operational and embodied carbon, as part of the nation’s broader transition toward net zero.
At the same time, climate reporting expectations are becoming more rigorous. Under SGX’s current sustainability reporting framework, listed issuers are required to disclose Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions from FY2025, while Scope 3 disclosures are becoming increasingly relevant across supply chains and are expected to grow in importance.
As a supplier within the built environment ecosystem, ISP forms part of our clients’ upstream Scope 3 emissions. This makes our carbon footprint and sustainability data increasingly relevant to how clients measure, manage, and disclose their environmental impact.
By establishing a clear carbon baseline and a structured reporting approach, ISP enables clients to reference credible supply chain data to support internal sustainability assessments, stakeholder reporting, and climate-related disclosures.
In this context, sustainability reporting extends beyond internal tracking and becomes part of a broader ecosystem of accountability across project teams, supply chains, and asset owners.
Supporting More Robust Green Mark Strategies
For project teams, sustainability reporting complements product-level certification.
While SGBC certification supports material selection within Green Mark frameworks, company-level reporting provides additional transparency on how environmental performance is measured and managed.
ISP’s sustainability report contributes to this by providing:
- Structured environmental data aligned with recognized methodologies
- Clear documentation of operational impact and baseline performance
- Supporting references for sustainability and carbon-related discussions
Together, certification and reporting provide a more complete foundation for consultants, designers, and developers when planning and documenting sustainability strategies.
A Continued Commitment to Responsible Growth
This report reflects ISP’s broader direction to integrate sustainability into both our operations and solutions. Our initiatives include energy management practices, waste-reduction measures, and responsible resource use in daily operations, alongside continued investment in durable acoustic partitioning systems designed for long-term performance.
The combination of SGBC certification, sustainability reporting, and ESBN Green Badge recognition reflects a more integrated and accountable approach to environmental performance.
ISP remains committed to transparency, continuous improvement, and supporting our partners in meeting evolving sustainability requirements in Singapore’s built environment.
