Terra Brown Glass Partitions for an Investment Firm

Terra Brown Glass Partitions for an Investment Firm

In contemporary office environments, acoustic glass partitions play an important role in shaping both the functionality and atmosphere of a workspace. Beyond providing acoustic separation and spatial definition, the detailing of a partition system, from glazed configuration to frame finish, contributes significantly to the overall character of the interior.

For this investment firm’s new office, the design focused on creating a calm and professional environment that supports both privacy and openness. Acoustic glass partitions were introduced throughout the workspace to form private offices, meeting rooms, and collaborative areas while maintaining visual continuity across the office floor.

A distinctive element of this project is the Terra Brown aluminium frame finish, which brings warmth and depth to the glass partitions while complementing the surrounding interior palette.

Project Details

Designing with Transparency and Privacy in Balance

The office layout was carefully planned to balance openness with the level of privacy required in a financial workplace. Glass walls allow natural light to travel across the office floorplate, creating a brighter and more comfortable environment while maintaining a visual connection between spaces.

At the same time, meeting rooms and private offices require effective acoustic separation for discussions and focused work. Achieving this balance between transparency and performance was a key consideration in the design approach.

Different spaces within the office required varying levels of acoustic performance and visual expression. To address these needs, the design utilises both our SOLO and COMO glazed systems, each selected according to the functional requirements of the space.

SOLO and COMO Systems for Different Spatial Needs

For rooms where a lighter and more minimal appearance was preferred, the SOLO P60 Glass Panel was paired with the SOLO Frameless Door. As a single glazed configuration, SOLO glazed system offers slim aluminium profiles and clean glass surfaces that contribute to a contemporary and understated aesthetic. The frameless door further enhances this visual clarity, allowing the glass surfaces to remain largely uninterrupted.

In areas where greater acoustic separation was required, the COMO Glass Panel was paired with the COMO Framed Door with Spacers, forming a double glazed partition system. The double glazed construction improves sound insulation and is particularly suited to meeting rooms and private offices where confidential discussions take place.

By selecting the appropriate system for each space, the overall design maintains a consistent visual language while supporting the different functional needs of the workplace.

A Frame Finish that Adds Warmth to the Interior

An important design detail in this project is the selection of the Terra Brown aluminium frame finish.

While black and silver aluminium finishes remain widely used in office interiors, the client was interested in exploring a tone that would introduce additional warmth to the space. During the design stage, several brown-toned frame samples were presented for the client’s consideration.

After reviewing how the different finishes interacted with the surrounding interior materials and lighting, Terra Brown was selected as the final choice.

The warm tone works particularly well with the neutral palette, soft furnishings, and wood textures within the office. Rather than drawing attention away from the interior, the frame finish gently defines the partition lines and adds depth to the overall spatial composition. Together, these elements allow the partition system to sit naturally within the interior design, while maintaining the clean architectural lines of the glass walls.

A Continued Partnership

This project also reflects an ongoing relationship with the client. The investment firm had previously installed our acoustic glass partition systems in their former office within the same building, and their positive experience with the system played a role in their decision to continue using it in the new workspace.

Familiarity with the product’s durability, acoustic performance, and overall build quality gave the client confidence in applying the system again as the office evolved. Working together once more also allowed the design and installation process to move smoothly, while creating an opportunity to introduce new design details, including the Terra Brown frame finish that gives this office its distinctive character.

Supporting a Comfortable Professional Workspace

With the integration of SOLO P60 single glazed panels and COMO double glazed systems, the workspace is designed to support both collaboration and focused work.

Natural light moves freely across the office, creating a bright and open environment, while meeting rooms and private offices provide the acoustic privacy needed for professional discussions. The glass partitions help maintain a sense of visual openness while clearly defining each functional space.

Paired with the warm Terra Brown aluminium frames, the partitions contribute to a workspace that feels calm, refined, and comfortable for daily work, creating an environment that supports the rhythm of the investment firm’s activities.
