Large-Panel COMO Glass Partitions for a Commercial Office

Large-Panel COMO Glass Partitions for a Commercial Office

In a well-planned office interior, glass partitions do more than define room boundaries. They influence how each space is framed, accessed and visually connected to the wider workplace.

For this commercial office project in Singapore, our COMO Framed Doors with spacers and COMO Glass Panels were used across several enclosed rooms, including meeting rooms, conference rooms and private work areas. Alongside these core office spaces, the project also included a gym room within the same workspace, introducing a different frontage condition to consider.

Project Details

A Wider Glass Frontage for the Office Gym

A key feature of this project is the gym room within the office. Compared with the other enclosed rooms, the gym room has a wider opening, which required closer consideration of the glass panel proportion.

For this frontage, wider COMO Glass Panels were used to create a cleaner and more expansive visual effect. With fewer vertical breaks across the glass line, the room feels more open, refined and visually calm.

For a larger enclosed space, this level of proportion matters. The glass panels need to complement the width of the opening so the frontage feels intentional rather than overly segmented. The result is a gym room that remains clearly enclosed, while still feeling naturally integrated within the wider office interior.

Establishing a Consistent Framed Glass Language

The office interior features a clean composition of timber finishes, dark accents and clear architectural lines. Within this setting, the COMO framed glass system adds a stronger visual presence while preserving the openness expected in a modern commercial office.

The COMO Glass Panel uses an aluminium track measuring 105mm in width and 30mm in height, giving the partition a more defined framed appearance. Instead of letting the glass sit quietly in the background, the frame becomes part of the office design, adding structure, rhythm and visual clarity to the space. Its sleek yet robust aluminium framework creates a modern architectural look that works well with the darker accents and clean lines of the interior.

Functionally, COMO is also a double glazed system, making it suitable for enclosed office rooms that require greater acoustic privacy. This is especially relevant for meeting rooms, conference rooms and private work areas, where conversations need to feel more contained without making the overall office feel closed off.

This balance between design visibility and acoustic performance is what makes COMO Glazed System suitable for commercial office interiors. It gives each room a defined and professional presence, while still allowing the workplace to remain bright, connected and easy to navigate.

Door Hardware Selected for Each Room Type

The door hardware was also selected according to the scale and function of each room.

For the gym room, the wider frontage was completed with a double-leaf COMO Framed Door. This door format suited the larger opening and allowed the entrance to feel balanced within the glass elevation. As double-leaf doors require pull handles, the client selected the 600mmL pull handle from our available 600mmL and 1200mmL options.

The 600mmL pull handle gives the gym room entrance enough presence without making the frontage feel heavy. It sits cleanly against the framed glass system, completing the larger opening in a way that feels proportionate, practical, and visually understated.

For the meeting rooms, conference rooms and private work areas, lever handles were used instead. These are better suited to regular-use framed glass doors, where ease of access and everyday functionality are the main considerations.

This difference in handle selection is subtle, but important. The hardware changes according to the door type and room usage, while the overall office remains aligned through the same COMO framed glass system. Each room is detailed according to its own requirements, without disrupting the consistency of the wider interior.

A Cohesive Approach to Office Glass Partitioning

This project highlights how the overall finish of an office glass partition system comes down to the details. Beyond the choice of glass, factors such as panel width, frame profile, door format and handle selection all contribute to how each room looks, functions, and connects with the wider interior.

For the gym room, larger glass panels and a double-leaf framed door created a more expansive frontage suited to the scale of the space. For the meeting rooms, conference rooms and private work areas, framed glass doors with lever handles provided a practical and streamlined solution for daily use.
