Flexible Office Design with Acoustic Glass Partitions in Singapore
For a cybersecurity company’s office in Singapore, the interior was designed with multiple meeting rooms that required acoustic privacy while remaining visually connected to the wider workplace.
The project primarily uses ISP’s COMO Glass Panel, a double glazed acoustic partition system suited to meeting rooms, boardrooms and other spaces where conversations need to remain contained. In one meeting room, however, the design required a more customised layout to accommodate a screen panel supplied and installed by a separate contractor.

To respond to this requirement, the partition combined the COMO double glazed system with an adjacent SOLO PLUS Glass Panel. SOLO PLUS Framed Door with spacers and Aluminium Power Poles were also installed within the office. Together, these elements demonstrate how different partition systems can be applied within one project to support specific spatial and design requirements.
Double Glazed Glass Partitions for Meeting Rooms
Across the office, COMO Glass Panels were primarily used to form meeting rooms and discussion spaces. The double glazed acoustic partition system provides a higher level of sound insulation for areas where focused conversations and acoustic privacy are important.
The glass partitions establish clear boundaries between meeting rooms and circulation areas without making the workplace feel visually enclosed. Natural light and sightlines continue across the office, helping the interior remain bright, open and easy to navigate.
The black aluminium frames also complement the office’s architectural palette. Against the white walls, warm lighting and vibrant interior accents, the dark profiles create a consistent visual structure across the different rooms.
Adapting the Glass Partition to a Custom Layout
One meeting room presented a different design condition, as part of its frontage needed to accommodate a screen panel supplied and installed by the appointed screen contractor.
Instead of applying the COMO double glazed system uniformly across the entire frontage, the SOLO PLUS system was used for the section where the screen panel was installed. This allowed the third-party screen to be integrated into the overall glazed partition layout.
Although SOLO PLUS is a single glazed system, it shares the same track width as COMO. The two systems could therefore be used together while maintaining a consistent frame profile and cohesive appearance across the meeting room frontage.
This approach demonstrates how different acoustic glass partition systems can be combined to meet the specific requirements of a space. By selecting each system according to its intended application, designers can create more customised office layouts without compromising the overall visual consistency.
Consistent Framed Detailing Across the Office
SOLO PLUS Framed Doors with spacers were also used within the project. Their black frames align with the surrounding glass tracks and other architectural details, creating consistency across the various meeting-room entrances.
The spacer option introduces additional detailing to the glass door, allowing it to complement areas of the interior with a stronger framed expression. At the same time, the glazed door preserves visibility between the enclosed rooms and the surrounding office.
By maintaining a consistent black finish across the doors, glass tracks and adjoining elements, the different partition configurations remain visually connected throughout the workplace.
A Clean Transition Between Partition Elements
Aluminium Power Poles were incorporated at selected points within the partition layout. These provide a solid junction between different components while allowing electrical wiring and cables to be concealed within the cavity.
Keeping these services out of sight helps maintain a clean and resolved finish, particularly in meeting rooms where screens and other electrical requirements form part of the interior design.
The aluminium finish also coordinates with the surrounding partition frames, allowing the Power Pole to sit naturally within the overall glass elevation rather than appearing as a separate addition.
Greater Flexibility in Acoustic Office Design
This commercial office project demonstrates how acoustic glass partitions can support more customised workplace designs in Singapore.
While COMO provided the primary double glazed acoustic solution across the office, the selective use of a SOLO PLUS Glass Panel allowed one meeting room to accommodate a contractor-supplied screen panel within its frontage. SOLO PLUS Framed Doors with spacers and Aluminium Power Poles further supported the functional and visual requirements of the wider project.
By combining different partition systems and coordinating their finishes carefully, designers have greater freedom to respond to individual room layouts, integrated services and third-party features. The completed workplace balances acoustic privacy with transparency and visual connection, creating meeting spaces that feel enclosed when needed while remaining part of an open and contemporary office environment.
