Kuala Lumpur Office with Acoustic Glass Partitions
In contemporary office environments, the way spaces are defined plays an important role in supporting both daily operations and the overall working experience. Glass partitions offer a balance between openness and functionality, allowing spaces to remain visually connected while providing the privacy needed for focused work and discussions.

For this project in Kuala Lumpur, a leading international drilling contractor required a workspace that reflects both efficiency and clarity in its day-to-day operations. Designed and built by De Max Design Pte Ltd, the office was created with a strong focus on meeting spaces, acoustic comfort, and a clean visual flow throughout the workspace. Having previously used our glazed partition system, the client chose to work with us again, continuing with ISP’s products and workmanship as part of their new office.
This continuity reflects a level of trust not only in the system’s performance, but also in the consistency of delivery and support throughout the project.
A Workspace Designed Around Meeting Needs
The office layout places strong emphasis on meeting spaces, with multiple rooms designed to accommodate different types of interactions, from internal discussions to larger external meetings.
Across these spaces, the SOLO P30 glass panel was used as the primary partition solution. As a single glazed panel with a 30mm aluminium profile, SOLO P30 provides a clean and minimal appearance while allowing flexibility in how each room is configured.
This flexibility made it possible to adapt each meeting space according to its intended use, while maintaining a consistent visual language throughout the office.
Adapting Door Configurations to Each Space
Different meeting environments require different levels of acoustic performance and presence. For this project, two door configurations were selected to support these varying needs.
For internal meeting rooms, the SOLO Frameless Door was paired with the SOLO P30 glass panel. This combination offers a clean and seamless look, with minimal visual interruption across the glass surface. It provides an ambient level of acoustic separation suitable for smaller discussions, while maintaining a light and open feel within the workspace.
For larger meeting rooms intended for external discussions or group settings, the SOLO Framed Door was used instead. Its framed construction, together with the door closer, helps the door close more securely and with less gap at the perimeter. This contributes to improved acoustic performance, making it suitable for spaces where a higher level of sound separation is required.
This gives each room the level of performance it needs, while maintaining a consistent design language across the workspace.
Subtle Design Details Within the Space
In selected meeting rooms, the design introduces a subtle segmented glass detail along the partition. This creates a slight variation in the visual rhythm of the space while maintaining the overall clarity of the glass system.
The segmentation helps define the boundary of larger meeting rooms more clearly, particularly those used for external discussions, while still preserving a sense of openness and lightness across the office.
Maintaining Standards Across Locations
Having previously used our glazed partition system, De Max Design chose to work with us again for their client’s Kuala Lumpur office, continuing with ISP’s products and workmanship as part of their new workspace. This decision reflects the trust built through past experience, not only in the system’s performance, but also in the level of coordination, quality, and delivery throughout the project.
To ensure the same standard was carried through, our team was closely involved at multiple stages. This included travelling to Kuala Lumpur for site measurements, coordination, and on-site review. We also worked alongside the local team, sharing guidance on proper handling and care of the glass system to ensure it continues to perform as intended over time.
This approach reflects the standard we aim to uphold across every project, where consistency is not just in the product, but in the way each project is delivered and supported from start to completion.
Supporting a Functional and Consistent Workspace
With the use of SOLO P30 glass panels and carefully considered door configurations, the completed workspace supports a range of meeting needs while maintaining a clean and cohesive environment.
Natural light moves through the office, creating a bright and comfortable setting, while meeting rooms provide the level of acoustic separation required for different types of discussions. The glass partitions maintain a sense of openness while clearly defining each space.
Together, these elements contribute to a workspace that feels structured, efficient, and well considered, supporting the daily operations of the client while maintaining a consistent standard across their environments.
