Executive Office Design Using COMO Glass Office Panels
Designing an executive office requires a careful balance of presence, privacy, and material quality. Unlike general work areas, executive rooms often serve multiple functions, from focused individual work to confidential discussions and leadership level decision making. For this project, a customised selection of glass office panels and a coordinated glass partition system was used to create a space that feels refined, well defined, and acoustically controlled while maintaining a modern, transparent aesthetic.
The core structure is achieved with the COMO double glazed glass panel system and a COMO framed swing door, establishing both acoustic performance and visual clarity. The design is further shaped by four defining components: switchable smart glass, curved glass, a contrasting pull handle, and a customised frame colour selected to harmonise with the overall interior

COMO Glass with COMO Framed Door for Acoustic and Visual Privacy
The foundation of the room is built using COMO double glazed glass panels paired with a COMO framed swing door. Double glazed glass is essential in an executive environment because it provides significantly higher acoustic performance compared to single glazed settings. This reduces the transfer of surrounding office noise, supporting a calm and controlled environment that is suitable for confidential conversations or uninterrupted work.
The glazed framed swing door strengthens the sense of enclosure by clearly defining the room boundary. It also maintains visual consistency across the glass partition system. Together, the system creates a secure and formal executive zone without relying on heavy solid walls. This approach keeps the office open, contemporary, and aligned with current workspace design standards.
Switchable Smart Glass for Flexibility and Adaptive Privacy
To support the changing privacy needs of an executive space, switchable smart glass (also known as magic glass) was added as a key feature. This technology allows the glass to shift between transparent and opaque states instantly. When in clear mode, the office remains visually accessible, which suits open door leadership styles and enhances daylight flow. When opacity is needed, the glass transitions into a full privacy panel that supports sensitive discussions, HR matters, or decision making sessions.
Switchable smart glass enhances functional use of the room while maintaining a clean, uncluttered aesthetic. Instead of using curtains or blinds, the glass partition itself becomes the privacy mechanism. This integration helps preserve the modern, streamlined look of the space and ties seamlessly into the overall design intent.
Curved Glass for Spatial Flow and Visual Softness
Curved glass was introduced to shape the room with a softer architectural line. Executive offices benefit from a sense of sophistication, and the curvature contributes to this by avoiding sharp corners and creating a smoother visual flow. It brings a more polished and intentional look to the space while differentiating it from rectangular partitions commonly seen in commercial projects.
This detail also enhances the sense of movement within the office, guiding the eye naturally from the working zone to the meeting area without visual interruption. The curved form becomes both a functional divider and a design highlight.
Frame Colour Selection for Design Harmony
A customised Grey Beige frame colour was selected to align with the designer’s intended palette and to ensure visual harmony across the executive office. This shade complements the built in shelving, flooring tone, and key furniture pieces, allowing the glass office panels to integrate seamlessly into the room rather than stand out as a separate element.
To achieve the exact colour match, several powder coated samples within the Grey Beige spectrum were prepared for review. These samples were evaluated on site under both natural daylight and interior lighting, which helps reveal how subtle undertones shift throughout the day. This step is important for executive spaces where material coordination contributes significantly to the overall impression of quality and refinement.
Once the final Grey Beige tone was selected, the aluminium framing was finished to match the approved sample, ensuring consistency across all glass interfaces. The result is a cohesive partition system that supports both the functional and visual goals of the executive office.
Contrasting Pull Handle as a Subtle Feature Highlight
The glazed framed swing door is completed with a contrasting pull handle that introduces a refined design accent. The darker hardware creates a clean break against the lighter frame, adding clarity and structure to the door line. This detail ties in with other subtle dark elements within the room, maintaining visual consistency while providing an understated highlight.
Final Outcome
By combining layered functionality with thoughtful material selection, the resulting executive office presents a space that is both practical and visually cohesive. The glass partition system supports acoustic comfort, adaptive privacy, and a polished modern aesthetic, creating an environment suited for leadership use and day to day decision making.
